Mechanical calculators were created with a series of interlocking gears by a German professor named Wihelm Schickard. The Schickard calculator is similar to a modern odometer to a car. Back in the 1800′s, calculators were operated by turning a crank or pulling a lever.

As the calculator has become more modern, it has grown from a big computing keyboard to fancy MP3 players and and cell phones. In the midevel days, anolog calculators were used for astronomical calculations.Typical European four-operations machines use the Odhner mechanism.

Mainframe computers took the deveopment of calculators to the next step. The first fully electrical calculators was invented in the year of 1961. The name of this calculator is called the Anita.

Simply because i hate my ffriend’s computer and she needs to upgrade too many things, I recommend her to get a computer from either OutletPC.com ($250.00 to $700.00), Best Buy($430.00), or HPComputer.com ($500.00-$1250.00).I hope she would like the computer from HP because she will be able to do all of the cool things she would like to do.

The things I would suggest that my friend to change is her MB graphic card which she can buy from Bing for $59.oo to $700.00. Her fourteen inch CRT can be upgraded as well, which she can buy from Sears for $160.00. Last but not least, she can upgrade that intel pentium 3 processor from Kmart for $400.00 to $700.00. Although it’s possible for it to be cheaper for a upgrade, I insist that she buys a new one.
